The Groom and Bride:

Inor: Born in Taiwan, Inor moved to the US at the tiny age of 3. He’s lived in New Jersey and multiple cities in North Carolina. He went to UNC Chapel Hill and received an undergraduate degree in computer science and graduate degree in accounting. After working briefly for Deloitte and Touche, Inor now works with his parents at their furniture manufacturing company. Inor is known to enjoy tinkering with anything computer related. He has single-handedly installed computers into his and Joyce’s cars, among others.

Joyce: Joyce was born in Washington D.C. and has lived in Maryland, Ohio, Massachusetts, France, and various places in North Carolina. She just graduated from UNC Chapel Hill this past December with a degree in advertising and is currently working at Mullen, an advertising agency. Joyce is a sucker for cute furry animals. That’s why she and Inor now have two bunnies: Gizmo and Dot.

The Ladies:

Grace Yang, Maid of Honor, sister of bride: Grace is the middle one of the Yang sisters and is currently a freshman business major at NC State University. Grace was Joyce’s first friend and has always proven to be the “calm in the storm” sister. Most say she is the most “normal” of the Yang sisters, but those who have been around her long enough know better.

Amy Yang, Bridesmaid, sister of bride: Amy is the youngest member of the Yang family and is also the youngest in the wedding party. Whenever Joyce (or anyone else for that matter) felt down, Amy could always be counted on to lift spirits. She is currently a sophomore at Cary High School.

Lily Kuo, friend of bride, sister of groom: Even though she is Inor’s sister, Lily knew Joyce about five years before Joyce even met Inor. She and Joyce met through a Bible Study in Winston-Salem where both their parents attended. Lily is a junior English major and Spanish minor at UNC Chapel Hill

Caroline Chen, friend of bride: Caroline and Joyce became friends and roommates at UNC. She was the first one to introduce Joyce to the late-night realm of endurance studying while in college. She graduated in 2005 with a degree in biochemistry and is currently a middle school chemistry teacher with Teach for America in California.

Erica Lee, friend of bride: Erica and Joyce met their freshmen year at UNC and were roommates as well. They’ve shared everything from Disney song whistling sessions to breaking into the UNC football stadium for ice cream. She is currently a senior finishing up her biomedical engineering major, though she constantly claims in modesty that her impossible major is “no big deal.”

Jennifer Lin, friend of bride: Even though Jennifer graduated two years before Joyce, the two were able to befriend each other through church fellowship and living in the same dorm. She graduated from UNC in 2004 with a degree in graphic design and is currently working in the web and print design industry. Jennifer is also the mastermind and maestro behind the makings of this website.

Judy Pham, friend of bride: Judy and Joyce were roommates and friends at UNC and enjoyed similar pastimes such as late-night cooking and burning scented candles. She graduated with an economics and spanish degree in 2005 and is currently working in Washington D.C. for the national government.

Chelsea O'Shea-Arboleda, honorary bridesmaid: Chelsea was originally asked to be a bridesmaid, but she discovered toward the end of year 2005 that she was pregnant! She and her husband, Francisco, will be expecting a baby in July--in all irony, the same weekend of Joyce and Inor's wedding! Chelsea will not be able to travel the distance from Texas to North Carolina for the wedding, and we extend our best wishes to her during her pregnancy. Chelsea and Joyce have known each other since 4th grade, and Joyce had the privilege of being maid of honor at Chelsea's wedding.

The Gentlemen:

Issac Kuo, Best Man, brother of groom: Issac is the middle child of the Kuo family. Issac and Inor did everything together growing up and were roommates at UNC. Currently Issac works in public accounting for PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and he and his wife Elisabeth live in New York,NY.

Seth Cogswell, friend of groom: Seth and Inor became friends after being suite mates their freshman year at UNC. Currently Seth is living and working in New York, doing both modeling and financial investing.

Marc Babaoff, friend of groom: Marc and Seth were best friends who grew up together in Asheville, NC. Marc and Inor met through Seth and became friends and were also roommates at UNC. Currently Marc is studying for his medical degree at UNC Chapel Hill.

Phil McKinney, friend of groom: Phil and Inor met in high school when they were on the cross country team at Grimsley High School. Even though Phil and Inor went their separate ways for college with Phil going to UNC Wilmington, they remained close friends. Currently Phil is working for ARS Service Express and he and his wife Hillary live in Durham, NC.

Andrew Martin, friend of groom: Andrew and Inor lived in the same neighborhood growing up and became friends when Andrew agreed to give Inor a ride to school in the mornings. Andrew went to college at William and Mary and is currently working in accounting with his wife Holly in Virginia Beach, VA.

Jason Hsu, cousin of groom: Jason is Inor’s cousin from Diamond Bar, CA. Jason is the family goofball and makes all family get-togethers entertaining. He is currently in school at UC Irvine.
